SKILLED MIGRATION - MIGRANTS Are you new to the Limestone Coast? If you are a recently arrived skilled migrant or family member, welcome to the Limestone Coast! Moving to a new place canoften be exciing and daunting at the same time. We're sure your decision to move has not been taken lightly and you may be apprehensive about many things in your life. To help, we are able to offer the following information and supports: 'Welcome Program for Skilled Migrants' Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC) is please to support Lifeline SE (SA) Inc as provider of the 'Welcome Program for Skilled Migrants'. The Limestone Coast region has welcomed many skilled migrants and their families in recent times. Settling quickly and comfortably is such an important part of the process of moving from one country to another and many people appreciate any assistance offered to help them manage once they've arrived in their new home. The program offers on-arrival and early settlement services for skilled migrants (of all visa classes) and their families who relocate to our region, with a focus on Mount Gambier, Naracoorte & Bordertown. Activities and initiatives include: A 'Meet and Greet' services for newly arrived skilled migrants, using volunteers trained as community welcomers. Information sessions on key Australian cultural/lifestyle issues. Acting as a referral service for migrants, representng their needs and linking them to other key organisations and services. Mentoring programs for partners/children of skilled migrants. Social & networking opportunities.
