COMPANY PROFILE
The South East Economic Development Board Inc was established in 1992 in partnership with State and Local Government to develop the potential of the region. The Board is jointly funded by the State Government (through the Office of Regional Affairs) and the South East Local Government Association. In June 2001 the Board decided to change their name to the Limestone Coast Regional Development Board to support the region's brand name 'Limestone Coast'.
The key objective of the Board is to "grow the economic base of the region". This objective will be achieved by the Board, as it delivers services and carries out a range of activities associated with economic development including:
- Provide Small Business with New and Expansion Development Assistance
- Facilitate and Support Industry Development
- Provide Current and Potential Exporters with New and Expansion Development Assistance
- Identify Industry Opportunities
- Attract New Business Investment into the Region
- Develop Regional Infrastructure
- Provide Community Leadership on Economic Development Issues
- Assist with Interface between Regional Community/Business and Government
- Provide Advice on Various Government Programs
- Facilitate Employment Creation and / or Retention Opportunities
- Facilitate Education and Training Opportunities
